The “Clavelinage” judging is open to wine growers, cooperatives and wine merchants who either produce or commercialize Vin Jaunes from the four appellations of Château-Chalon, Arbois, L’Etoile or Côtes du Jura, with a maximum age of ten years and three months.
The number of samples per participant is limited to two per vintage and per appellation.

A jury, made up of professionals and informed amateurs, chooses the best Vin Jaunes which represent their AOC and vintage.
From a very rigorous blind tasting, one third of the Vin Jaunes presented are awarded the “Clavelinage”.

A participant, having obtained a “Clavelinage” for a vintage, may not enter another sample from the same vintage and the same appellation in subsequent years.
